We believe in women’s influential role in society.
The Belcorp Foundation was created in Peru in 2003 as part of a commitment to rewarding the efforts of our great network of beauty consultants and counselors. Our main impact on society is achieved through them.
Our Vision: To be the business foundation that most contributes to the empowerment of women in Latin America, so that they can take charge of their lives and become agents of change in their communities.
Our Mission:
To awaken and build women’s capabilities so that they can imagine a better future and make it happen.
In 2006 the Belcorp Foundation began to expand into other countries of the Corporation, maintaining a global approach, pursuing the same mission and acting locally in keeping with the needs and circumstances in each country.
Aligned with Belcorp’s Objectives The Belcorp Foundation enhances the transforming power of women through empowerment by building capabilities, confidence, vision and proactiveness in them as a group in society.
We offer women opportunities to develop on three fronts
Emotional: by strengthening their self-esteem and self-knowledge for improved decision-making.
Social: through creation of social networks and participation as members of society.
Economic: through education and training.
This is the Belcorp recipe for empowerment through which we generate positive changes in the lives of thousands of women.
Our Programs
The Belcorp Foundation supervises two programs for women empowerment that mainly target beauty consultants and counselors. It also has a volunteer program for Belcorp employees.
Great Women:
This program works towards personal advancement of women, building their self-esteem, confidence and providing them with tools to improve their quality of life and play their role as agents of social change.
The Belcorp Foundation carries out this program in Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, and Venezuela through local civil organizations. By the end of 2010 it had benefited some 9,000 women.
Women Enlightening Women
This scholarship program offers girls and adolescents in Latin America the possibility of a brighter future by broadening their opportunities through a higher quality education.
Today more than 1000 girls and young women in 10 Latin American countries are benefitting from the Foundation’s scholarship program.
Touching Lives
Belcorp’s volunteer program has been designed to stimulate and develop social awareness in our employees by encouraging them to adopt a variety of commitments. These range from mentoring a girl or young woman under our study grant program, up to helping in specific educational support and environmental conservation initiatives.
